October 21-27 Mozart “Requiem” Manuscript Tour of Vienna and Salzburg

In Mozart’s Footsteps is collaborating with the Original Manuscript Society on a unique and special tour. We have acquired access to view Mozart’s original manuscript to his unfinished “Requiem.” There are actually two manuscripts: one in Mozart’s hand and the other is the hand of Franz Xaver Süssmayr, who completed the requiem following the instructions of Mozart.

These are priceless documents. Our viewing of them will be restricted to fifteen people at a time. In the Lacrimosa, we will see the final notes of music that Mozart wrote.

You can also join us for an additional four days in Salzburg. Among our activities there, we will view Mozart’s Minuet in G, K1, Mozart’s first composition.

Just think, on this tour you can view Mozart’s manuscripts to his first and last compositions!

Here is the web page of the Original Manuscript Society about the three days in Vienna.
